In 1253 the young man called Badager
Traveled to a country so far away
He didn't know how to spell it's name
He left behind everything he knew
and stepped in a world where all things were new

Walking on the main road towards the church
A man made him stop and said
This is a town with respectable people
You look like the jester we could live without
Or are you a tramp, beging food and shelter

Badagar looked back into the man's brown eyes
Not confused or puzzled but curious at most he asked
Is it my bindle that makes you think
That I am the vagabond you fear?

The man glanced over at the bag
Starting to wonder what he might carry
It might contain food, it might contain gold
Or is the fool making the fool of me?

Reading hte man's mind Badagar smiled
Suggested a drink but the man declined
Badagar turned his back and
swung the bindle against the man's face

When the man felt the bindle against his cheek
He could swear he felt coins and valuable stones
Now Badagar was out of his sight
He got more curious about what was in the bag.

After plenty sleepless nights
The man packed his bag
Left everything behind
Determined to find our travelers wealth
Not knowing which road to take
Traveling to countries so far away
